John Wesley Haley was a Canadian missionary who began his work in Burundi in 1935 as part of the Free Methodist Church.
Before arriving in Burundi, Haley had served in Mozambique and South Africa. Burundi is a mostly Catholic nation, with the first missionaries arriving in the late 1800s.
