Roast profile
Explain thyself
Light means the beans are roasted for a shorter time, creating a more acidic, fruity flavor, highlighting the coffee's original characteristics.
Medium means a slightly longer duration, creating a richer, more balanced flavor, reducing acidity, and pulling out sweetness and caramelization.
Notice the lack of d*rk roast (we can't even say it).
Flavor profile
Explain thyself
Traditional flavor is usually considered to be more full-bodied and smooth, usually described as "earthy," "nutty," or "chocolatey."
Modern flavor leans more "fruity" or "green," highlighting more experimental and diverse flavors.
All that sounds a bit pretentious, we know.
Brews best
Explain thyself
Different brewing methods do different things to a roast's flavor. Not all roasts are best suited for all methods.
Espresso creates bold, rich notes. Pour over emphasizes delicate, complex flavors. Drip provides a balanced, smooth taste. Cold brew yields a mellow, low-acid profile.
If you don't strictly follow our recommendation, you may have an okay cup, but at what cost?
